Priyanka Chopra Bags Another Hollywood Project; Comes Onboard For Robert Rodriguez's We Can Be Heroes
Priyanka Chopra is on a roll, she has bagged a Netflix original series. Titled We Can Be Heroes; it is going to be written, helmed and produced by Robert Rodriguez.
There’s no stopping Priyanka Chopra, quite literally! After wide spreading her magic in the East, the global icon is slaying in the West too. Recently, the Barfi actor has been roped in for Netflix’s upcoming action fantasy feature titled ‘We Can Be Heroes’. The film is going to be written, directed and produced by Hollywood filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, who has films like Spy Kids, SinCity and Alita: Battle Angel to his credit. Talking about the plot of We Can Be Heroes, it will revolve Earth’s superheroes, which get kidnapped by aliens and how a group of children team up to save them and the world.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is also gearing up for the release of her upcoming Bollywood flick, The Sky Is Pink. It chronicles the life of a motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder. The film, which has been directed by Shonali Bose, also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf alongside PeeCee. It is slated to the hit the big screens on October 11, 2019.
Interestingly, The Sky Is Pink is the only official selection from Asia that has been shortlisted to premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival in September this year. Apart from this, Priyanka Chopra will also produce and star in India-based wedding comedy, co-produced by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal.
Under her Purple Pebble Pictures banner, Chopra Jonas has produced several acclaimed films including Paani, Ventilator, Pahuna: The Little Visitors and Firebrand.
